In the beginning, it was merely a name, but gradually its deeper meanings unfolded, making us realize that this name was created specifically for our journey!
According to traditional belief, the conch (Shankh) is a symbol of auspiciousness, purity, and new beginnings. A Shankhnaad (the blowing of the conch) is performed before an Aarti in temples or at the initiation of any sacred endeavor. It is believed that its resonant sound dispels negativity from the surroundings, creates positive energy, and fosters mental focus.
Naad means sound, vibration, and the fundamental element of music. As our ancient scriptures state, “Naad Brahma”—meaning sound itself is the ultimate cosmic origin of the entire universe. Music is not merely something to be heard with the ears; it is a therapeutic force that touches the mind, body, and soul.
Music therapy embodies this very same essence. Keeping in mind an individual’s unique needs, physical and mental conditions, and emotional requirements, music is used to design a therapeutic process that brings peace to the mind, support to the body, and a comforting touch to the soul.
