The conceptual foundation of this book was laid during a transformative moment in India’s history: December 11, 2023, with the launch of the “Viksit Bharat @2047: Voice of Youth” initiative by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Addressing a nationwide collective of Vice-Chancellors and higher education leaders, the Prime Minister underscored that higher education must serve as the cornerstone of a developed India. He remarked that “youth power is both the agent of change and the beneficiaries of change,” identifying the Amrit Kaal—the next 25 years—as the decisive era for students currently within our university systems.
